Program Manager - PMO Department

Key Accountability

• Participate in the development of project management methodologies and tools as per best and applicable practices to meet program needs. 
• Prioritize and combine projects under program based on a set criteria.
• Create a detailed work plan, which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects.
• Participate in the determination of the resources (time, money, employees, equipment, etc.) required to complete the projects in the program within the timeframe and with the required expectations.
• Develop and/or update schedule for projects completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities ensuring alignment to requirements.
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the program will be evaluated at its completion.
• Monitor the progress of program and update as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project.
• Manage SAIP’s programs in coordination with concerned Directorates/Department according to the project plan to ensure the delivery of project deliverables within the timeframe approved.
• Manage all program budgets ensuring minimal variance.
• Identify and define, where possible, day to day problems and risks within ongoing projects, suggest corrective actions and solve issues where possible and escalate for resolution.
• Review progress of handled program to ensure adherence to project plans and requirements.
• Handle complicated issues of programs and provide support as needed to keep track on schedule and minimize risks.
• Maintain relationships/communication with contractors/consultants to ensure that the most appropriate and efficient tools/methods/services/equipment are used with optimum cost.
• Ensure performance assessment of internal and external contractors/consultants and ensure that the documented scope of work is executed and all relevant procedures are followed.
• Measure program objectives and key performance indicators on a regular basis to ensure abidance by milestones and requirements.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in Project Management field.
• Preferred PMP Certificate.
